Students, if you aren’t a member of the society already be sure to sign up as you will be eligible to apply for student assistance to attend ASBS conferences and the student prizes.

ASBS 2018 Conference—Mind the Gap

We invite you to the 2018 Australasian Systematic Botany Society conference to be held at the Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha, Toowong in the first week of December organised by the Queensland Herbarium.

The conference theme ‘Mind the Gap’ aims to highlight gaps in systematics be they biogeographic, taxonomic, funding, data or other. There will be a workshop on how to review taxonomic manuscripts and eFlora treatments, followed by three days of symposia and then a field trip.

Feel free to contact the organising committee by email if you have any queries: asbsbrisbane2018@gmail.com, otherwise we will keep subscribers to this web site up to date with developments, or follow us on Facebook or Twitter for announcements.

We look forward to seeing you in Brisbane towards the end of the year.

The Organising Committee.

Download the program and upload your presentation

The abstract book is finally at the printers and we’ll make it available for you to download soon. In the meantime we’ve made an A3, day-to-a-page program available for you to peruse.

Are you ready to upload your presentation? If you want to avoid the queues at the registration desk, feel free to send it to us now. Shoot us a quick email and we’ll send you a secure link to upload the file in your web browser. If you later decide to make some slight adjustments you can always replace the version we have on file.
